Ancora una grande prova corale per gli uomini di coach Sacchetti che si impongono per 102-78 contro Pesaro.

Tutto esaurito in piazzale Segni per la sfida fra la storica VL Pesaro e la Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, il tutto mentre a Sassari e nell'Isola sale alta la febbre Eurocup in vista della doppia sfida all'Alba Berlino. Assente Marques Green (ex di turno assieme al biancorosso Gigi Dordei), in permesso speciale per la nascita del suo quarto figlio. Assente anche Jack Devecchi, stoppato ai box da un infortunio. La Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, il pubblico del PalaSerradimigni e la Sardegna intera ringraziano il gruppo organizzato di tifosi della Victoria Libertas Pesaro, «Vecchia Guardia Ibr Pesaro», per il prezioso contributo raccolto e donato alle popolazioni colpite dal ciclone Cleopatra. A loro l'applauso degli spalti di piazzale Segni quando i tifosi espongono lo striscione «Unidos e accurtzu a su populu sardu».  La Dinamo scende ancora una volta in campo per dire NO alla violenza sulle donne. Durante l'intervallo del match è andato in scena un'anteprima del Flash Mob «L'amore ha l'amore come solo argomento», in programma il prossimo 8 marzo in occasione della giornata internazionale della donna 2014, iniziativa organizzata dal Consorzio Andalas de Amistade.

Il match. AlaDiener ed Eze nello starting five biancoblu. Travis e Turner in avvio, Caleb Green subito protagonista con 5 punti consecutivi, la bomba di Thomas vale il 10-3 dopo 4'. Anosike da sotto, Turner dalla media, Pesaro si riporta a contatto con Trasolini ma è ancora CG a dare respiro all'attacco biancoblu. Pari della VL ma OT dai 6.75 e ManDrake firmano il nuovo +5, timeout Dell'Agnello. Anosike si fa sentire sotto le plance, ancora il duo Thomas-D.Diener per il Banco, Pecile e Turner impattano sul -2, appoggio a canestro di Gordon servito da OT. Schiacciata di Gordon, primi punti per l'ex Dordei, i liberi di DD16 chiudono la prima frazione sul 26-20. Capitan Vanuzzo dall'arco, Flash Gordon dalla media, coast to coast di Chessa, +13 biancoblu. Secondo fallo di Gordon, tecnico alla panchina Dinamo, mini parziale pesarese, 33-24 dopo 13'. Stoppata di Tessitori, TD12 colpisce dai 6.75, botta e risposta Turner-Drake, sulla schiacciata di Tex è nuovo timeout VL. Assist di Tex per la bomba di ManDrake che segna anche contropiede e firma il +19 a 4' dall'intervallo. Anosike dalla lunetta interrompe il parziale sassarese, tripla CG, il Banco incrementa il vantaggio con Tex e i due Diener, Anosike da sotto ma ManDrake dall'arco regala le triple che chiudono il primo tempo sul 60-34. Botta e risposta tra i due attacchi, sul 66-40 coach Dell'Agnello decide di pensarci su. Eze stoppa Trasolini, Petty e Anosike provano a ridurre il gap, primi punti per Brian Sacchetti, CG concretizza il contropiede innescato da AlaDiener, ManDrake colpisce ancora dai 6.75, Gordon da sotto per il +28. Musso e Chessa dall'arco, Anosike conferma la sua pericolosità  sotto canestro, 7° punto per Chessa, Dordei tiene vivo l'attacco ospite, chiude Chessa al 30' sull'84-58. Dordei e Musso per la Vuelle, Gordon in doppia cifra, triple Sacchetti e Vanuzzo, 92-67 a 6' dalla fine. L'attacco Dinamo continua a segnare, vantaggio oltre i trenta punti, ampie rotazioni per Meo Sacchetti, doppio Musso dall'arco, la panchina pesarese chiama il minuto di sospensione (98-74). Turner dalla lunetta firma il suo 19° punto, Tex fa volare il Banco a quota 100, TD12 in contropiede incrementa il vantaggio, chiude Anosike, finisce 102-78.

Coach Meo Sacchetti: «In un match che come sapete riserva sempre insidie son stati bravi i miei giocatori con il loro atteggiamento che ci ha permesso di fare il break già  nel primo tempo. Anche chi gioca meno oggi ha avuto più spazio, Tessitori ha fatto qualcosa di importante ma può fare meglio, bisogna continuare a crescere mentalmente e non accontentarsi mai». Coach Sandro Dell'Agnello: «Prima di tutto complimenti a Sassari, la differenza tra le due formazioni non può dare competitività  alla partita, nonostante l'approccio sbagliato del secondo quarto dove il match si è chiuso sono contento per quello che i miei ragazzi sono riusciti a fare nel secondo tempo resistendo contro la forza della Dinamo». Brian Sacchetti: «Siamo entrati in campo con una mentalità  aggressiva e abbiamo gestito bene il vantaggio accumulato, questo ci ha permesso di far riposare qualche titolare in vista di Berlino».

Piazzale Segni was sold out for the match against the historic VL Pesaro and Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, all the while in Sassari Eurocup fever is spreading like wild fire for the upcoming challenge against Alba Berlin. Without Marques Green (while the biancorosso were without Gigi Dordei), who received special permission to return to the USA for the birth of his fourth child. Jack Devecchi was also absent, sidelined from an injury. Eze blocks Trasolini, Petty and Anosike try to reduce the gap, first points for Brian Sacchetti, CG confirms a counterattack triggered by AlaDiener, ManDrake from the arc, Gordon from underneath +28. Musso and Chessa from the arc, Anosike confirms he is a threat under the basket, 7° points for Chessa, Dordei keeps the visiting teams attack alive, Chessa closes the 30' mark at  84-58. Dinamo's attack continues to score, the advantage is over thirty points, Meo makes big changes to the rotation, double by Musso from the arc, the Pesaro bench calls timeout (98-74).
